A good common definition of "Devil's Advocate" is someone who, given a certain argument, takes a position he or she does not necessarily agree with, just for the sake of argument. (Wikipedia).
This morning, I want you to read this article, and identify the two sides of the argument by playing devils advocate, on both sides. I want you to write two separate paragraphs, each on opposite sides of this decision. One paragraph should argue as to why the Supreme Court ruled correctly in this case (Brown v. Plata), and the other paragraph should argue as to why the Supreme Court Made a mistake.
You could consider starting each paragraph with "I believe that the Supreme Court was right in this case because..." and "I believe that the Supreme Court was wrong in this case because..."
